At Natural Science we have implemented a rigorous plan to ensure that our products meet and exceed the highest quality requirements of our customers. To achieve this we have introduced a number of quality control standards to our business over the next 2 years, covering all steps of the cultivation and extraction process.

Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) (2021)
Good Agriculture and Collection Practice (GACP) (2021)
Analytical Methods For Product Testing
-
We exercise stringent control in testing our products from seed to sale.
-
All products are tested by independently-accredited third party laboratories, and we share these results with our customers.
-
The potency of CBD and related cannabinoids are typically determined by using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
-
We work closely with our customers to ensure that our test methods are discussed and aligned with theirs wherever possible and we provide ongoing technical support through our collaboration with the University of York

Good Agriculture And Collection Practise
(For the 2021 Cultivation)
Under the overall context of quality assurance and control of herbal medicines, the WHO developed the Guidelines on good agricultural and collection practices (GACP) for medicinal plants, providing general technical guidance on obtaining medicinal plant materials of good quality for the sustainable production of herbal products.
-
Over 2500 soil samples are tested at our cultivation site
-
We check for heavy metals, chemicals, pesticides and other contaminates
-
Our water source and fertilizer are also regularly tested
-
Organic pest control measures are only used
Good Manufacturing Practice
GMP covers all aspects of production from the starting materials, premises, and equipment to the training and personal hygiene of staff. Detailed written procedures are essential for each process that could affect the quality of the finished product. There must be systems to provide documented proof that correct procedures are consistently followed at each step in the manufacturing process – every time a product is made.
