In February, 2020, Natural Science Limited is pleased to confirm that it has purchased the Alvan Blanch CD50300 commercial conveyor drier.
Probably the most single important part of the hemp cultivation process is in the drying of the freshly cut hemp at harvest. The hemp plant contains approximately 70% to 80% water and this must be removed from the material to less than 10% before it can be shipped to an extraction facility. Market reports from the 2019 harvest in the U.S. have indicated that up to 25% of the hemp crop was lost due to a lack of appropriate drying facilities.
The management team at Natural Sciences has spent several months researching and meeting with commercial agricultural drying manufacturers to ascertain the most suitable product. We are pleased to say that following a recent meeting with Alvan Blanch (http://www.alvanblanchgroup.com/), one of Europe’s leading commercial drying manufacturers, an agreement was signed to purchase their CD50300 commercial conveyor drier.
Alvan Blanch is a world leading British company specializing in the design, production and supply of quality machines and integrated systems for the processing and drying of agricultural produce. The CD50300 commercial conveyor drier is the largest drying machine currently made by Alvan Blanch being just under 50m in length and capable of drying up to 4,000 kg of hemp biomass per hour. This drier should easily be able to process the 2020 harvest and also will be available for rental for other farmers as it will be the largest commercial drier in Bulgaria.
